On December 3rd, OurKnappyRootz had the privilege of participating in the Buy From a Black Woman Holiday Market at the Eaton Centre, presented by H&M. Arriving at 8:30 a.m., we found our setup ready and waiting, which made the start of the day smooth and stress-free.
It felt like a reunion, reconnecting with familiar faces from the Buy From a Black Woman and H&M teams, as well as returning vendors. The sense of community and support was amazing throughout the event.
One standout moment came just before the market officially opened. A member of the setup team approached and asked if we noticed something special. At first, we didn’t, but then they pointed out a mannequin wearing Sleeze, our premium adjustable bonnet. Seeing Sleeze showcased like that was a surreal and exciting moment for us.
The event, much like the Inspire Tour, was filled with good vibes, great conversations, and an incredible crowd. It was a day of celebration, connection, and community.
